In the latest 2026 University Brand Power survey released by 104 Job Bank, Asia University ranked fifth nationwide in the “Rising Star Award” top ten, which highlights institutions with the strongest growth potential and distinctive educational positioning. The achievement makes Asia University one of the most outstanding private universities in Taiwan, reflecting its rapidly rising brand strength and steadily advancing academic development in recent years.
President Tsai Chin-Fa emphasized that the university’s development is driven by a “dual-engine strategy”: the AI technology engine and the healthcare engine. By deeply integrating artificial intelligence with smart healthcare, Asia University is elevating the alignment of teaching, research, and industry engagement. “AI defines future competitiveness, while our healthcare system is our strongest foundation,” he said. “With both engines advancing together, students graduate with immediate career readiness.”
The 104 Brand Power evaluation incorporates 12 key indicators, with internationalization and academic performance among the most critical. Asia University has demonstrated steady breakthroughs in global rankings, including notable progress in both the U.S. News & World Report Best Global Universities rankings and the Times Higher Education World University Rankings. The university has shown particular strength in interdisciplinary research, clinical medicine, engineering, and global competitiveness among private universities.
Asia University continues to promote interdisciplinary integration and innovative research in forward-looking fields such as artificial intelligence, biomedical technology, and sustainability. By actively recruiting international scholars, strengthening global partnerships, and expanding dual-degree programs, the university has enhanced both its research impact and international visibility.
In terms of industry collaboration and R&D capability—two other key indicators in the 104 survey—Asia University also demonstrated strong performance. Through its dual-university alliance with China Medical University, the “CMU–Asia University System” integrates resources across healthcare, biotechnology, smart medicine, and the broader health industry, forming a comprehensive ecosystem spanning teaching, research, and clinical application.
The shared medical system allows students to access real clinical environments, participate in research projects, and gain hands-on experience during their studies. This “teaching × research × healthcare” trinity model has become a defining competitive advantage for Asia University and a key reason for strong employer recognition.
In response to digital transformation and industrial upgrading, Asia University has comprehensively embedded AI applications and interdisciplinary learning into its curriculum, aligning with the “future capabilities” most valued by employers. The survey notes that companies prioritize digital literacy, cross-domain integration, and problem-solving ability—areas central to Asia University’s curriculum reforms.
Courses in generative AI, smart healthcare, big data analytics, and sustainability management have been introduced across disciplines. From accounting and information integration to digital media design, smart manufacturing, and medical technology, AI is embedded throughout academic programs, creating a campus-wide AI learning environment.
Asia University students have also excelled on the global stage in recent years. They have earned major awards in international design competitions, architecture and spatial design contests, and technology innovation events, demonstrating strong training and creative excellence.
Graduates have achieved strong employment outcomes across disciplines. Business and IT students have entered top accounting firms and listed companies; design students have received recognition from professional judges in Japan, Europe, and the U.S.; and healthcare graduates have moved directly into frontline medical roles. The university’s emphasis on integrating learning with real-world application has translated into tangible results.
“Career planning from day one” has become a hallmark of Asia University. Through robust industry partnerships, structured internship programs, and career development planning, many students secure job offers before graduation. Some departments report internship placement rates of 100%, with average internship stipends exceeding NT$30,000 per month, reflecting strong employer confidence in Asia University graduates.
Being ranked among the top five Rising Star universities in the 104 survey affirms Asia University’s growing brand momentum and employment competitiveness. From international rankings and research output to graduate employability, the university has established a virtuous cycle of development.
Since its founding, Asia University has continually transformed—from an arts-centered campus to an AI-driven university, and from local roots to global engagement—gradually building a distinctive educational brand. Its top-five placement in the 104 Brand Power survey not only marks a leap in brand strength but also underscores its steady progress in an increasingly competitive higher education landscape.
President Tsai noted that the university will continue deepening its dual-engine strategy by advancing AI applications, smart healthcare, and sustainable innovation while expanding global collaborations. “Our goal is not only to establish a strong presence in Taiwan, but to continue moving forward on the global stage,” he said.
Amid declining birth rates and intensifying global competition in higher education, Asia University demonstrates that a forward-looking private university can still achieve remarkable success. From international rankings and academic research to employer recognition and graduate outcomes, Asia University is steadily writing its own growth story.
