Selected a total of 7 papers for Best Paper, Merit, and Honorable Mention awards.

The "2025 Artificial Intelligence × Medical, Health, and Care International Conference (AIxMHC 2025)," hosted by Asia University and co-organized by IEEE, the Ministry of Science and Technology, and China Medical University Hospital, successfully concluded on October 15. The event attracted scholars, medical and AI industry experts, and research teams from 17 countries, receiving a total of 112 paper submissions. After evaluation by four international experts, 2 papers were awarded Best Paper, 2 received Merit Awards, and 3 received Honorable Mentions, highlighting innovative AI applications in global healthcare, culture, and society.

Conference Chair and Dean of the College of Informatics and Electrical Engineering at Asia University, Xu Qingxian, stated that the selection process combined 40% anonymous expert review and 60% on-site assessment of presentations and Q&A, ultimately selecting 7 award-winning studies.

The Best Paper awards went to:1.A collaboration between Asia University, the National Center for High-Performance Computing, and NVIDIA AI Research Center Singapore, which applied neural quantum embedding and tensor network architectures to significantly improve the accuracy and computational efficiency of quantum support vector classifiers (QSVC).2.A team from National Chung Cheng University and National Cheng Kung University, which developed a scalable containerized deep learning system for automated skin cancer detection, demonstrating high potential for AI-assisted clinical diagnosis.

Merit Awards were given to:1.A team from National Taiwan Ocean University and the Institute for Information Industry, which created a FHIR-based universal microservice architecture (FMSA) to accelerate healthcare system integration and scalability.2.A collaboration among National Cheng Kung University, National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, and Chung Yuan Christian University, which developed SCMtalk, an IoT-oriented automated platform for scientific Chinese medicine prescriptions, advancing digitalization and IoT integration in traditional medicine.

The three Honorable Mentions covered key areas including AI in traditional Chinese medicine, multi-omics integration, and AI-assisted coronary heart disease prediction.

Dean Xu emphasized that AIxMHC 2025 not only showcased top-tier AI research from Taiwan and international teams but also fostered deep interdisciplinary dialogue between AI, medicine, and the humanities. Asia University is committed to becoming a hub for cross-domain AI talent development, cultivating young scholars for global engagement, and promoting the practical application of research outcomes through collaborations with hospitals and industry partners.
